Education
Our core component of services are making sure every eligible students are entering the universities from war affected areas. No student should reject their offers because of their financial background. Maruthanila is committed to support them to get their university education of their chosen degree.
Education in all different forms is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. It has an uplifting effect on other aspects of society. The relationship between poverty and education is complex, but we know that education helps people make healthier and smart decisions about their livelihood.
Living in a less financially stable household perpetuates a cycle of poverty, making it very difficult for children to escape this cycle. Assets are rarely passed down to their children, so they face the same challenges. Children in poor households often have to choose between working and their education.
Maruthanila is committed to break this cycle of poverty by supporting students from less financially stable family backgrounds.
